Samples

Q: Can I get free samples?
A: Yes. We urge our customers to try samples before purchasing to ensure a perfect fit.

Q: How many samples can you send me?
A: We’ll typically send you 2-3 samples of each part so you can test size, material or colour. If you’re using the samples for prototyping, we can send you a larger supply.

Q: How long will it take to get my samples?
A: All standard sample requests will be processed within 24 hours (business days)

Ordering

Q: Do you have a price list?
A: If you need pricing, please call us or email us.

Q: Do you sell direct or do I have to go through a distributor?
A: Both! You can buy from our warehouse or from a distributor, it’s all up to you.

Q: Do you have a list of distributors?
A: Sure. Give us a call or email us and we’ll send it to you.

Q: How do I go about ordering parts?
A:  Call our team of experts or feel free to send an email to us at sales.au@caplugs.com.

Q: What is your P.O. minimum order?
A: Our stock parts come in two different sizes – our standard pack with larger quantities or our mini pak which offers small quantities to those who don’t need thousands of pieces.

Q: Can I purchase quantities smaller than the mini pak that you offer?
A: Yes, as a custom order, we can meet special packaging requests.

Q: Can I ship orders to a post office box?
A:  All orders must be shipped to a physical address

Customization

Q: Do you have custom capabilities?
A: Of course. Just give us a call and one of our Technical Engineers will be happy to assist you. Our tooling library is vast and holds thousands of moulds that may fit your needs. Should you need tooling built to fit your specific needs, a design engineer will be assigned to your account to work with you from design and prototyping, through production and packaging.

Q: Can I alter existing parts?
A: Yes! We can pad-print your parts.

Colours

Q: Can you do colour matching?
A: Yes. Our engineers at Caplugs can assist you in finding the perfect colour.

Q: Can I get parts in another colour?
A: Our catalog parts are stocked in different standard colours. If you’re looking for a colour other than the stock colour, contact our sales team for help.

What is the best material and colour for outdoor use?
A: Black vinyl with a UV additive is ideal for outdoors use.  For low density polyethylene we recommend the colour black for outdoor applications. This colour offers resistance to UV rays as it acts as a natural UV stabilizer with 2% carbon-loading. Please request assistance from our Technical Sales department for this type of application because there may be other options based on climate.

Q: What is the best material and colour for outdoor use?
A: Low density polyethylene material in the colour black would work best for outdoor applications. This colour offers resistance to UV rays as it acts as a natural UV stabilizer with 2% carbon-loading. Please request assistance from our Technical Sales department for this type of application because there may be other options based on climate.

Q: What materials are available?
A: Caplugs are available in low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, polypropylene, flex temp, vinyl, Flex500, paper, silicone rubber, aluminum, conductive and static dissipative materials. Not all Caplugs shapes are available in each material; consult our catalog to find out which materials are available for the cap or plug you are interested in.

Q: What is the range of heat that Caplugs can withstand?
A: Low density polyethylene is rated up to 65.5oC (150oF); Aluminium is rated up to 343oF (650oF). Caplugs offers several materials in between these ratings. Contact our Technical Sales Department for more detailed information.
